The Economy of Respect

Respect is one of the most valuable monetary systems in our world.
If you hoard it for a few individuals, then there is none left over
and your economy collapses if those individuals lose your respect.

If you freely share your respect with everyone,
then its value is inflated as you do not know how much it is worth anymore.

If you hold no respect for yourself,
then you will find your own reserves are empty,
and only envy is given out to others.

If you demand the respect of others,
you may find having to make change for fear.

But there is a value to respect.
It can be earned through hard work
It can be given to many
And with enough for yourself.
We as humans all can have equal respect
We as individuals can earn it from our peers.
And through a mutual flow
our economy of respect can grow.

On the value of an apology

To apologize is not just to say that you admit and accept your own wrongdoing.
It also involves a promise that you will learn from it
and that you will strive to do better.
This is why if we fail again the next apology loses strength,
because we have shown ourselves to be oath breakers.

Why forgiveness is difficult

To forgive is difficult.
It involves looking past yourself,
your desires,
and your own pains
just so you can look out to the horizons
to see another person as a human being.
Then it involves identifying with this same individual
and admitting that they are your equal
and you both are fallible but willing to move on.
